On February 2, 1935, our department took delivery of a 1934 Sanford Cub Pumper, with a 150-gallon tank and a 350 GPM Hale pump at a cost of $3,050.00.  The Sanford provided our department with over 20 years of service.  Since it has an open cab, the driver was subjected to the elements and often had to pry his frozen fingers from the wheel when arriving on the scene. Our company has completely restored the Sanford and has won many trophies for Best Antique Apparatus.  The Sanford is fully operational and comes with us in our parades.
